no problem and I could book it in for the following week. I explained the situation that I needed it done ASAP due to the show, I am sure they could sense my despair and although fully booked and very busy they said they would stop work on the car in the workshop and get started

straight away on mine and I could collect the car in an hour. So I can only applaud them for their service and they deserve a mention its “Damage Undone” in Melksham Wiltshire

Having an hour to kill I wandered into town and popped into Wetherspoons to calm my nerves I only had coffee but the Cider was definitely looking like a much better option. I sat outside drinking many cups of coffee and calming my nerves with far too many Café Crème cigars hoping

upon hope that it was going to be an achievable and good repair. After an hour which seemed like an

eternity I wandered back not knowing what to expect but as I drew closer I could see

the car and from a distance all looked good. Upon inspection it was absolutely amazing and I could not see a single mark from any angle it was an incredible transformation and my despair had turned to joy and massive relief.

So in a couple of hours’ time I headed down to Arundel as originally planned, who would have thought that so much could have happened and experience such emotional lows and highs in a couple of hours

The car had a quick clean at the Hotel on

Saturday morning to remove the road kill and brake dust so off to Arundel we went, I was so pleased with the car it has never looked this good and I received many compliments during the day however I only told a couple of people about the previous days incident so for many of you this may well come as a big surprise

As the time came for the prize giving deep down I was hoping that just maybe I was in with a chance of best X100 but there were so many superb X100s on show and it’s a credit to all the owners who like me spend a great deal of time on their P&Js. It was great to see Richard “Blownaway & Animal” get best X100 which was fully deserved so big congratulations to him. To my immense surprise though, I’d won “Best in Show” which for me was the highest accolade, really surreal and hard to take in that out of 125 cars mine had been judged the best so all my efforts had paid off and my little mishap didn`t ruin my day – I could not be happier and look forward to being on the judging panel next year so in August 2017 get polishing everyone and take extreme care when getting your car out of the garage you just never know what might happen ●
