A training academy for the future


Lisa Rosewarne, Hairdressing Manager, tells us about the latest investment at Skills Group – Plymouth’s stylish new training academy.


Tell us a little bit about Skills Group Skills Group specialises in apprenticeships – we’ve been delivering training programmes in partnership with local employers for over 20 years. We are very proud that, as a local provider, our success rates mean we are in the top five per cent nationally. We work with learners and employers across the


South West, and have sites in Plymouth, Exeter and Newton Abbot. I’m the Programme Manager for hairdressing and barbering, but we also offer apprenticeships in business, care and early years, construction, engineering and automotive, sport and leisure, and teaching and education. It’s an exciting time for us; as well as


apprenticeships, we are offering bespoke upskilling programmes for employers looking to develop their staff, and provide flexible weekend and twilight training sessions for experienced adult learners who want to gain qualifications and industry recognition.
