Chamber to deliver in-demand digital growth programmes


Free strategic action-planning workshops, conferences, business consultancy, digital skills advice and grant funding opportunities all to feature as part of ambitious three-year programme


Knowing the true value presented by digital technology and understanding what is right for your business can be a daunting challenge, however help will soon be at hand. Businesses across Derbyshire,


Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire are invited to attend free breakfast events to launch two new digital growth programmes in February and March. The programmes, which will collectively deliver 580 free strategic action-planning workshops covering subjects ranging from digital and social media marketing to wider information technology areas such as cyber resilience and cloud computing, will run between April 2017 and June 2019. As expected, demand for the


programme has been high, with over 300 businesses across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire having booked on the events already. These strategic action-planning


workshops will extensively cover a whole host of relevant, up-to-date digital themes crucial to businesses development and growth. The topics include, but are not


limited to, Website Planning; Search Engine Optimisation; Social Media Marketing; Google Analytics; E-Commerce; Mobile Marketing; Email Marketing; Big Data for SMEs; Video Marketing; Cloud Computing and Cyber Resilience. The £7.25m Derbyshire and


Nottinghamshire programme * is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) the Chamber, Derby and Nottingham City Councils, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire County Councils, Rushcliffe Borough Council and the Creative Quarter Company. The £7.7m Leicester and


Leicestershire programme ** is part-funded by ERDF and Leicestershire County Council.

support and advice to SMEs in various locations across the region through dedicated digital skills advisers, who will assess the needs and requirements of businesses on a bespoke basis in order to identify digital workforce development needs. The programme’s digital


business advisers will also provide sought after grant-funding opportunities of up to 40% - available between £2,000 and £16,000 - for businesses that require assistance with technology and/or digital projects. Diane Simpson, the Chamber’s

the chance to speak one-to-one with digital advisers, register interest in grants and secure places on upcoming workshops. All of the events run from 8am-
