Charities share Chamber cheque
Three charities have equally shared £2,463.98. Chamber President Geoff Poyzer presented a giant cheque to Ashgate Hospice, Chesterfield, RSPCA Chesterfield & North Derbyshire and Rainbow’s Hospice, Loughborough, at a recent business lunch. The three charities, which each
received £821.33, were chosen as the
first to benefit from the East Midlands Chamber Charitable Fund, administered by the Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation. Making the presentation, Geoff
announced that the beneficiaries of this year’s charitable activities, who will receive donations at the 2017 Leicester Chamber Christmas Lunch, will be LOROS, Maggie’s Nottingham and Blythe House Hospice.
