The Hub The Hub What’s on at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce
Politician, broadcaster and author Gyles Brandreth is back by popular demand as host and guest speaker for the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce annual dinner and awards. Following a successful appearance as guest
speaker in 2014, Brandreth made a triumphant return last year as the event’s host. And he is back once again for this year’s black
tie dinner which is taking place at Birmingham’s ICC on 30 March. GBCC chief executive Paul
Faulkner said: “We are delighted that Gyles Brandreth has agreed to
return as our host and guest speaker at this year’s dinner and awards. “No doubt Brexit, President Trump, regional
devolution and our own election of a West Midlands Metro Mayor in May will feature in his eagerly anticipated and informative address.” Brandreth has had a
varied career which included top posts in government as a Whip and Lord Commissioner of the Treasury in John Major’s government, while serving as MP for Chester.
