Summer is a ‘funny’ few months for estate agents. It can feel like we’re running around and getting nowhere, but the truth is actually much different. According to Kyero, one of the leading expat property portals, August is a HUGELY important month for estate agents in European tourist destinations, and especially coastal Spain. The huge influx of holiday makers means a significant increase in enquiries and Spain has now resumed its position as the number 1 sun holiday destination due to the sad news we’ve been hearing from places like Turkey and Egypt.
So yes, it’s been rather busy in our office with a huge number of serious enquiries. What’s interesting is these buyers are prepared to wait for the right property and expect us to email them with property details as soon we have a match. And there’s where listings come in. At Direct Owner, we have a genuine list of buyers waiting for the right property to come along. Which leads us back to the question at the top of this article - “Is September a good time to list my property?” Well, we’d say not only is it a good time, it is absolutely the best time to list your property.
