In truth, there will be many factors that may determine the make and model of your next purchase – not least of which will probably be budget. As with any major purchase in your life, whilst it is very admirable to pick an absolute maximum budget, it is also wise to have a small contingency in your budget just in case the perfect car comes along.
Within your budget, is also wise to consider the percentages as well as the actual cash sum - at the lower end of the spectrum, having an extra 500€ up your sleeve could be the difference between buying a slightly newer car, or indeed a lower mileage example, conversely if you are looking at a brand new car, 500€ may only be enough to upgrade your stereo or add Bluetooth!
Don’t be frightened of a good used car salesperson / business owner. We are all perfectly normal people and understand that a car is a major purchase. In almost all
cases, we will have driven and looked at more vehicles than most and are extremely well placed to help you. If you help us a little with your requirements, we will often know which cars will suit your needs and which won’t.
It may be the simple things such as vehicle size and engine types, it may be the finer details such as seat height adjustment, visibility, ease of reversing, rear seat access, boot size….the list goes on. We will also have excellent first hand knowledge of reliability, and in most cases here at Javea Auto Sales, we will know the previous owners too.
In the last few weeks we have sold several cars that were not the intended original purchase. After lengthy discussions and actually trying a few different cars, you can often be surprised by a car that you had previously excluded from your thoughts and end up with something that is much more suitable to your lifestyle and family.
As a final note please be extra careful when we get the first rains after the summer. Rain after a prolonged dry spell can build up a film of tar, rubber and oil on the road surface, causing fine grit on roads to become greasy - if it is bad enough it will almost feel like driving on ice.
