Officers graduate
from college’s new campus
City of Glasgow College celebrated the graduation of almost 250 Merchant Navy Officers at a ceremony held in Glasgow Cathedral. The class of 2016 is the first
year of nautical students to graduate from the college’s new Riverside campus which opened last August.
Engineering officers and
deck officers were congratulated by the college’s Principal and Chief Executive, Paul Little. Guest of honour and keynote
speaker at the graduation was Commodore Duncan Lamb, Head of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary. The graduates achieved diplomas and certificates in Marine Engineering, Marine Management Engineering, Marine Management and Nautical Science. The ceremony was streamed
live online so that friends and families from across the globe were able to watch the event. Following the ceremony, a celebratory reception for the students and their families was held in Riverside campus.
