10th annual Apprentice Awards


City Building celebrates its talent S


cotish construction company, City Building, has rewarded the tradespeople of tomorrow at its recent 10th annual Apprentice Awards.


Eighty-one apprentices from across all sectors of the business including construction, administration, heating, and painting and decorating were shortlisted for the awards at the City Chambers in Glasgow. A total of 24 awards were handed out at the


event which saw second year apprentice painter and decorator Lisa Murphy named City Building Apprentice of the Year in addition to winning the Second Year Painter and Decorator award earlier in the evening. Te shortlisted apprentices were


recommended by their managers and went through a rigorous interview process by the management team in order to be selected. Adam Gibbs and Kevin McCarron were also


recognised on the night with special Lifelong Learning awards for their hard work and


dedication over the last 12 months. Adam and Kevin entered the adult apprentice programme from City Building’s supported facility Royal Strathclyde Blindcraſt Industries. Tey are due to complete their apprenticeships later this year. To top the celebrations off on the night, Clyde

One DJ Grant Tomson presented City Building with a Gold Cash for Kids Corporate Patron disc in recognition of the company’s efforts to support and raise vital funds for Cash for Kids which aims to support the most vulnerable children in our communities affected by child poverty.

Eureka Solutions moves to new HQ


Award-winning cloud business solutions provider, Eureka Solutions has embarked on a new stage in its journey, with a brand new purpose-built office for its staff, following a significant increase in growth in recent years. The new space that will


form the headquarters is located in the 6500 sq ft top floor east wing of West Point House, Peel Park, Redwood Place, East Kilbride. It will share the building with other big name companies including IBM and Wipro. The investment in the new property comes after Eureka Solutions’ surge in staff recruitment, meaning that


it has outgrown its existing premises in the Scottish Enterprise Technology Park. Eureka Solutions has taken


a 10-year lease on its new premises which offers efficient, modern and flexible open plan accommodation, creating room for further expansion in the future and a pleasant and contemporary working space for its 45 members of staff. To ensure attraction and


retention of the best staff, delivering the best service to its valued customers, Eureka Solutions has invested £250,000 in first-class facilities providing the best possible working environment.
