YOUR HOME ON THE WATER On a journey with Hurtigruten, you are taking a part in a long tradition of connecting Norway’s
coastal towns and villages. Our ships carry goods, vehicles, and passengers, night and day. This service has been integral to Norwegian life since our first voyage in 1893. Today our ships are as much a feature of the Norwegian coastline as the ocean, fords, and mountains themselves.
All our ships include comfortable lounges and ample deck space affording you perfect views as we glide through some of the world’s most beautiful and untouched coastal scenery.
They all have a small library where you can immerse yourself in a good book, and a café serving snacks and drinks. Some even have hot tubs and a fitness room.
As you board your ship, you will be taking part in a long Hurtigruten tradition of transporting goods, vehicles and passengers between ports, by night and by day, as an integral part of daily life to these communities.
FOUR COASTAL SHIPS WITH NEW ‘ARCTIC INTERIOR’ MS Polarlys, MS Kong Harald, MS Nordkapp and MS Nordnorge were refurbished with a modern Scandinavian interior during 2016. The stylish yet unpretentious new-look will reflect the breathtaking coastal landscapes through which we sail. The colour palette is inspired by the earth, coast and ocean. Many of the materials are natural, including wood, slate, and leather. All public areas of the ships will see changes with the reception areas, cafés, bistro areas and the aft deck all to be renovat-
ed. The new, stylish restaurants with a modern Nordic feel will provide an ideal setting for the local Nordic menus. A range of fresh pastries baked on board will be served and barbeque stands will be installed out on deck.
COMFORTABLE CABINS, NO MATTER WHAT CATEGORY YOU CHOOSE Each of our twelve ships has a wide range of comfortable cabins. We have changed our cabin categories to make it easier for you to choose. No matter what cabin you select, we can promise you a comfortable journey with a relaxed atmosphere.
Expedition Suites Situated on the upper decks, our Expedition Suites are the most exquisite cabins on the ship. Inside the most comfortable suites on board, you will find seating areas with a TV, a bathroom with shower/WC and a double bed in most rooms. All of the suites come with complimentary cabin kits, which contain a bathrobe, slippers and other toiletries.
Arctic Superior Our Arctic Superior cabins are comfortable cab- ins situated on both upper and middle decks, where you can enjoy a relaxing atmosphere. All
the cabins have bathrooms with shower/wc. You will also find coffee and tea facilities in these cabins. Most of them have separate beds, where one can be turned into a sofa and some have double beds.
Polar Outside Our Arctic Superior cabins are comfortable cabins situated on the upper and middle decks, where you can enjoy a relaxing atmosphere. All the cabins have bathrooms with shower/WC, along with tea and coffee making facilities. Cab- ins have twin beds (with one converting to a sofa) or a double bed.
Polar Inside Our cosy Polar Inside cabins can be found on all decks. All cabins include bathrooms with shower/WC, except some vintage cabins on our nostalgic ship MS Lofoten, where shared bath- room facilities are available. Most of the cabins have twin beds (with one converting to a sofa), while some are equipped with a double bed or upper and lower berths.
Please note that the standard of suites and cabins varies and some cabins have individual specifications.
