RØROS - UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE 3 days/2 nights Make a little detour from Trondheim to Oslo and enjoy two nights in a traditional hotel at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Røros. The colourful and charming town of Røros is a living museum, and the entire town centre with its authentic wooden buildings is protected. Located in the middle of Norway and only 2.5 hours from Trondheim, it is home to an active arts and crafts scene, factory outlets, quaint little shops and fine restaurants serving local food made with seasonal products. The former mining town Røros is surrounded by fantastic nature with three National Parks and is the ideal location for winter and summer outdoor activities like dog or reindeer- sledging, fishing and horse riding. Røros is particularly popular in the winter with its crisp white snow and fresh frost – a sparkling white winter dream. Day 1 Disembark at Trondheim in the morning and take the Hurtigruten shuttle bus transfer from the pier to Trondheim Railway Station. Enjoy a 2.5-hour train ride through the Trøndelag region. After your arrival at Røros railway station, it's a short walk to Bergstadens Hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the town and surrounding countryside on your own.

Day 2 Breakfast at the hotel and day at leisure. The term ”short-distance food” originated in Røros and means that the town’s restaurants use local produce to create their mouth-watering dishes. Day 3 Breakfast at the hotel and then check-out. After a short walk to Røros railway station, enjoy a 4.5-hour train ride through the Norwegian landscape from Røros to Oslo Airport or Oslo Central Station.
