YOUR VIKING EXPERIENCE Join an educational voyage of discovery to find out more about these fascinating people, their empire and their legacy. The on-board lecture programme will include themes such as ‘Who were the Vikings?’, ‘Viking Treasures’, and ‘Vikings and the ‘North Way’: The coastal voyages of Ottar’.
A VIKING CAPITAL & MEET THE VIKINGS During your voyage, you will call at the old Viking capital, Trondheim before sailing through the Lofoten and Vesterålen Islands, an area rich with sagas of the Norse-men. Enjoy ‘Meet the Vikings’ excursion (included in your voyage). Join the chief- tain and his wife in a reconstruction of the largest Viking long- house ever discovered.
A VIKING CAPITAL & MEET THE VIKINGS (OPTIONAL) At the end of the voyage, extend your stay with a visit to Oslo and its Viking Museum, home to genuine relics of the Viking age, including a full-size longboat.
