Spotlight on Associates SWEENEYS…Now more

focused on strolling. The Sweeney Family Band has been revised! You can still get the

knee slapping fun show with three Sweeneys as always, but Greg Thompson and Lynn Frey (aka Slim and Skeeter Sweeney) have focused more on a strolling show than a stage show. Greg Thompson, founder

of The Sweeney Family Band, stated

“We’ve been doing this stage show for eleven years with three Sweeneys. We’ve always offered our strolling sets at the same price or as a bonus. But now, we understand more that it’s our comedy that sets us apart from all of the other fair acts.” Thompson adds “Plus, we are much more affordable as a two man strolling act with the same music and comedy.” Thompson also stated “Since Lynn and I have been the actual comedi-

ans of the group since we began we’ve decided to focus more on the strolling and comedy aspect of the act. We’ve also noticed a greater need for quality strolling/musical acts, so we want to do more of that now.” Fairs and festivals around the country can enjoy the music and comedy is now referred to as “Them Sweeney Boys.” “Slim” and

of what

“Skeeter” still get into harmless trouble while strolling the fairs, interact- ing with fair goers of all ages and playing their downhome country, gos- pel and bluegrass music. You might not know it

Thompson and Frey have many years of experience not only with fairs, Radio Crime, Tampa Bay's

Premier Classic Rock Band Step back and recapture the nostalgic era of Classic Rock. We’re all about Green Grass & High Tides. We fully support buying a Stairway to Heaven.

You’ve seen plenty of bands…but, until you experience RADIO CRIME -YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHING YET!!! Play it like the album. That's the mission statement of Radio Crime. Ripping guitar solos from a simpler time. Great songs you remember

as a kid. In a word: Classics. Drummer//Original Member, Joe, had the concept of creating a band

with the sounds of the great 70’s with the idea of learning the song ex- actly like the original artists.

In his search he found brothers in arms the

dueling lead guitarists Ronnie from Sonic Wave and Marcus from the legendary Hemlock. With Ronnie was brought in his longtime friend

and bass player from Sonic Wave Dave. Now the missing link was a killer front man. Till this day we are not sure how he did it however Marcus located lead vocalist/conga player Manny. We make a promise to everyone that attends a Radio Crime show. We

will give you a “dead on accurate” covers on some of the best rock and roll songs ever recorded with NO shortcuts. The songs are played to perfection included everything from 3 minuet guitar solos to vocals and arrangements. These are sacred rock and roll songs and we treat them as such. Our “B” side album cuts have always been what differentiates us form most other bands. Great songs the true rock fan knows, but no one plays. We’ll give you “Aerosmith to ZZ Top and all points in between”. We have rocked the Bay area for many years, played hundreds of shows and have performed at some of the largest events in the Bay area. We were pleased and excited to play at this year’s Florida State Fair

on the North Dome Main Stage. We’re looking forward to hitting that first chord and seeing all of our “Partners in Crime”. See you at the Fair. For more information go to www.RadioCrime.NET

but with the world class theme parks of Central Florida where they call home. Thompson (aka Slim) has an extensive entertainment background that

includes Universal Studios, Medieval Times Dinner Tournament,

and Commodore Cruise Lines. He is also an entertainment and conven- tion producer as well as a licensed Talent Agent in the State of Florida. His company specializes in Celebrity Impersonators and look a likes. And if you’ve ever been to Sea World in Orlando over the past 25 years and seen the Sea World Mime, you probably saw Frey (aka Skeeter) as that was his full time job since 1989. He left Sea World last year and is focusing on performing at fairs and festivals from now on. You can still hire him as a mime, but he’d rather be performing as Skeeter, than a silent mime. Fair goers will still enjoy the comedy, music and fun that

the

Sweeneys are known for. Now, it’s just even more up close and person- al! Visit www.themsweeneyboys.com or call Greg Thompson at 407-226 -9088.
