MARK CHANCE COOPER 3-17-1955—11-14-2015
Mark was a lifelong resident of Pana- ma City, he worked in his family’s plumbing business. He was the Sec- retary/Treasurer of the Central Pan- handle Fair and was active in the Bay Disabled Outdoorsmen Association. He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Christina.
HORACE MIXON CARR, SR. 12-3-1923—11-24-2015
Horace, one of ten children,
grew up in Jay, FL. He was in General Patton’s 3rd Army and was wounded in combat at Ba- stogne in the Battle of the Bulge, earning a Purple Heart. He met and married Anne
to
Doris Graska for the loss of her companion for 21 years.

LAURA SUE HATTON VIERS 10-17-1978—2-11-2016
Weaver in 1948 at Auburn Univer- sity where he earned a BS degree in Agricultural Science. His 31 year career as county agent began in Calhoun County in 1950, Liberty County from 1950- 54, and then Bay County until he retired in 1981. He received the USDA Distinguished Service Award. Horace said his big- gest thrill professionally was his work with the University of Florida to eliminate the screw worm fly in livestock. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, a 25 year
member of Kiwanis where he had 20 years of perfect attend- ance. Horace became a director of the Central Panhandle Fair As-
sociation and was active for as long as he lived. He was Presi- dent of the Florida Federation of Fairs in 1982, elected to the Hall of Fame in 1996 and received the IAFE Heritage Award in 2001. He was predeceased by his wives Gloria Anne Weaver Carr
and Winona Thomas Walker Carr. He is survived by five chil- dren, twelve grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
