• Dunblane Woodies (Woodcraft Folk). Braeport Centre (term times) 4pm - 5.30pm. Woodchips 3 - 5 yrs and Elfins 6 - 8 yrs. All welcome to join either as a volunteer or young member. We’re also welcoming Pioneers aged 9-12 and Venturers 12-16. • Monday 4th January, The Dunblane Cathedral Guild meets to bring in the new year with a party to which all are welcome, if you’re not a member just ring Dorothy Millar 824170 to tell us you’re coming along for catering purposes. 2pm, Cathedral Halls


• Wednesday 6th January, Dunblane and District Gardening Club, Cathedral Halls at 2pm. speaker will be Sadie Barber from the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh. Amorphophallus’. Visitors £1.50.

• Sunday 10th January, Cruise Event, Victoria Halls 11.30 - 4pm • Sunday January 10th, Forth Valley Friends of Scottish Opera: Neal Davies, King in Ariodante. A new production of Handel’s Ariodante opens in Glasgow in February with Welsh bass-baritone Neal Davies singing the role of the King of Scotland - not one we’re likely to recognise from the history books! He is coming to talk to us about this and about his career. All very welcome. 2.30 pm, Smith Art Gallery and Museum, Stirling. Members £5, Visitors £6, Students £1, including tea/coffee & biscuits.

Saturday 16th January 2016, Dunblane Christian Aid holds its Coffee Morning from 10 am to noon in the Cathedral Halls. Goods for the Book Stall and the Cake and Candies Stall can be handed in from 9 am on Saturday
