SIGN News New name for Print and Cut Solutions

Colorific Solutions Limited, responsible for Colorific print consumables and Lightbar sol- vent-UV print technology, has rebranded the company to CSL Digital. This rebranding coincides with the re-

cent announcement that Roland DG has ap- pointed CSL Digital to be an authorised dealer for its range of digital printing and cut- ting technologies. Nick Wintle, Managing Director, CSL

Digital, said: "We are very proud of all that we've achieved under our old brand.

But we felt that the time was right to build on this success and adopt a new brand identity that would acknowledge our past achievements and highlight our future ambitions." CSL Digital also has the technical ex-

pertise and manufacturing facilities to pro- duce custom engineered solutions for businesses with more complex print require- ments. They have been instrumental in the research, development and production of a number of 'ground-breaking' print solutions

in recent years, such as Lightbar solvent-UV ink technology. Working closely with Roland DG

they've integrated the latest solvent-UV ink chemistry with Roland print engines to launch a range of Lightbar printers and printer/cutters. Widely regarded as a more durable and cost effective alternative to printing with latex inks, Lightbar delivers 'bright, colour rich print that's dry, cured and ready to use straight from the printer'.

Josero launches online webshop

Josero has launched its own online web- shop, because 'demand is continually in- creasing for spare parts, media, inks and finishing equipment'. Joserospares.com provides a 'fast and

simple' solution for printing companies who choose to order stock online, confident that they’ll receive high quality products through Josero. Customers can buy everything from

printheads, cables and dampers to banner material, ink and cutters; the product range is vast, according to Josero. Loic Delor, Managing Director of

Josero said: “The printing industry is no different to any other market sector where people increasingly choose to buy consumables and replacement parts online. When we researched setting up an online shop we discovered there was some dissatisfaction in the wide format market; with poor customer service, parts being advertised when they were actually out of

stock, and products that were bad quality Chinese copies being promoted as original products!” Loic said: “These factors led to our de-

cision to set up our own online service, with high quality stock based in the UK, and where we’re regulated by UK laws. Launch- ing a robust and efficient online service re- quires a great deal of commitment and resources. But we believe we’ve got it right as the feedback for www.joserospares.com has been extremely positive.” All the products are stocked in Josero’s

warehouse in Cambridge and can be shipped overnight to customers in the UK. Loic said: “Customers now have the

best of both worlds; a professional team on hand to offer technical support combined with online pricing. We’ve been online for a couple of months and the shop is proving tremendously successful.”

Big screens just got cheaper!

Thanks to recent changes in import duty there are now savings to be made on large LED video walls and big screens, making them a highly cost-effective as well as long life display solution, says Messagemaker. From May this year, imported modular

LED Video screens are subject to a new 0 per cent import duty rate, which replaces the previous much higher rate of 14 per cent. In the past, selecting the appropriate tariff code for LED screens and components

was complex, and led to errors and miscoding. This latest move by the HMRC has brought any confusion to an end, to the advantage of both consumers and suppliers. Harry Filer Managing Director of the

Messagemaker Group, including MD Vision, said:

"The introduction of the new 0 per cent

import duty rate has levelled the playing field, enabling companies like Messagemaker to

compete on price against suppliers who may in the past have applied the wrong tariff codes, avoiding the 14 per cent tax and thus being able to quote lower costs. "Our customers benefit from lower

prices, safe in the knowledge they are buy- ing from a trusted supplier that has always applied the correct tariff code."
