SCOTRAIL BUSINESS DIRECT SPONSOR OF THE GLASGOW BUSINESS
AWARD FOR INNOVATION IN BUSINESS
We’ve been simplifying rail travel for business since 2011 – saving our
clients time and money. Designed to help both public and private sector
organisations derive best value from their business travel budget, clients continue to see year-on-year savings of between 25 per cent and 36 per cent. The solution offers lots of different ways to save time and money; with any-card ticket collection, options for shaping travel policy, and the facility to create questions, making the management of internal cost-allocation and data analysis a whole lot easier.
Each client has a dedicated account manager
who provides support with implementation of the booking solution and delivers training for users. They can also offer help and advice on internal change management and guidance on how to get best value for money, with detailed analysis of buying behaviours and suggestions on how to continually improve the purchasing profile.
Scottish Water is trusted to serve Scotland, providing vital services which are essential to
daily life. We provide high quality drinking water to households and business premises across Scotland and we treat their waste water before returning it safely to the environment. Our investment programme in 2015-21 will
enable Scottish Water to continue providing first-class customer service, while supporting the Scottish economy and creating jobs in the construction industry. We provide a safe and reliable supply of high
quality Scottish drinking water and we continue to deliver value for our customers. In 2015/16, the average household charge
in Scotland continues to be £39 lower than the average charge in England and Wales. We are working hard to ensure that protection
of this precious natural resource is always a key consideration in our wide variety of operations. We are also continuing to invest in renewable technologies to drive forward our green agenda.
An innovative approach took the ScotRail Business Direct team out on the road in September; with a series of invitation only road shows. Held in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, these events were designed to be informative, yet informal. Comprising three short workshops, which demonstrated key elements of the solutions’ functionality, the sessions offered delegates the chance to network with industry peers and meet the team.
