you to drive proper change. As one of the many benefits of a shiſt to the

loud services really benefit any business by bringing scalable, cost-effective, flexible and user- friendly solutions to the table. By
moving to cloud services, businesses will find that they can adapt to changing markets and situations far quicker and bring more resources to bear in shorter times than ever before. As most cloud services are run using a
monthly subscription model, it’s far easier to flex upwards when you need greater resource, while also having the comfort and option to scale things back when necessary. As almost all of the infrastructure and organisation are ‘out of the box’ ready, companies can spend less time worrying about things like disaster recovery, back-up and other considerations and focus much more on running and working for the business the way you want to. For small and medium-sized businesses,
you will find that you’re suddenly on a much more even playing field, having access to enterprise-level applications and processes that allow true competition; indeed, cloud services allow a full business suite to be run virtually from any location, allowing proper communication and collaboration, not only

internally, but with your business partners. With a solution such as Office365 from
Microsoſt, suddenly all the familiar tools and trappings of a business work seamlessly and integrate to give proper process collaboration and business intelligence. How should businesses set about managing
the transition to a cloud-based solution? Obviously, with this level of flexibility, it’s
important to get your organisation right in your head and manage the change properly to the cloud. It’s my experience that customers who know their own business inside and out, and know the improvements that they’d like to make, gain the most out of a shiſt to cloud computing. Understanding where your organisation is clumped into silos, for example, and trying to break down communication barriers is important. Many organisations find the change a
refreshing time to really remove some of the cluter of the past and ‘clear the decks’ for a much more concise way of working. So, there will be issues that every company will have to look at, like data security, who gets access to what, and how you segment those areas into organisational units that make sense and allow
cloud, storage becomes cheaper and allows you a proper clear-out and archive without losing the security in your mind that things will be available should you need them. Finally, you can achieve those data structures that make sense and give you the management of information that you’ve never quite managed previously. What are the financial implications? Importantly, especially with the increasing
rate of change in IT, many businesses are finding that things like hardware refresh, soſtware audits and the ever-expanding list of upgrades for applications are increasingly confusing, unmanageable and costly. Recently, support for Windows XP was finally removed, to the chagrin of some older businesses. Similarly, some server products are being leſt in the dust due to advancing technology. We are now in the age of Windows 10 and
Server 2012, with Office 2016 just about to be released. With consumption of soſtware changed to a cloud computing model, monthly subscriptions and soſtware upgrade protection mean you don’t have to worry about that if you don’t want to. When new versions come out, you can
upgrade and become an early adopter, with litle or no cost concern, or wait to upgrade at a time of your choosing if you’re of a nervous disposition. It’s not the age any more where upgrades are necessarily a massive capital expenditure. With so much to consider, it’s important to
work with a trusted and experienced cloud partner. Talk to Click Networks.
