Games in July and August, an amazing 3.4 million passed through Glasgow Central Station. Almost a third of visitors


(29 per cent) to Glasgow arrive in the city via train. Glasgow Central is the busiest railway station in Scotland and the second busiest in the UK, outside of London. Tere are 32 direct train links a


day between Glasgow Central and London Euston. More than 7.7 million


passengers travelled through the doors of Glasgow Airport in 2014 – representing an annual increase of 4.8 per cent and its busiest year since 2008. 2014 was Glasgow Airport’s fourth consecutive year of growth with domestic and


international traffic rising by 2.6 per cent and 6.9 per cent respectively. Glasgow International Airport


has seen major continued work on route expansion with 19 new routes started over the last year. Tis expansion programme


has helped the airport to report month aſter month of continuous


growth. In June it reported its strongest May passenger numbers in seven years, up 13.3 per cent on last year to just over 785,000. Te airport said the May


figures represent the 27th consecutive month of passenger growth, with international
