FREE* SUMMER CONCERT: U3A (formerly “Golden Oldies Music Group”) with music of the 50s, 60s and 70s
The Seafront, Moraira (beside the castle) 20th June at 8pm
The Golden Oldies Music Group rightly enjoys a large, enthusiastic and loyal following of fans throughout the Teulada-Moraira area and T.M. Lions are delighted to announce that this is the band which will, under their new moniker of “U3A”, be playing at the first of T.M. Lions 2015 Season of Free* Summer Concerts in Moraira, with the night’s event being kindly sponsored by Dragon Insurance, Benitachell.
If you haven’t come across these guys before, the first thing to hit you is the sheer size of their line-up: the number of bodies onstage at any one time can run into double figures as U3A belt out the kind of music that has made them so popular - primarily golden classics of rock ‘n roll from the 50s, 60s and 70s with, from time to time, a little bit of blues thrown into the mix.
The playlist for this concert includes such all time favourites as “Woolly Bully”, “Jumping Jack Flash”, “Mony Mony”, “Proud Mary”, “Honky Tonk Woman”, “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet” and “Mustang Sally” - and if that doesn’t get your musical juices flowing, you should check for a pulse!
*Admission to all our Summer Concerts on the Seafront in Moraira is FREE but Teulada-Moraira Lions Club Members will be there in their distinctive yellow tops to “rattle buckets” and ask for donations from the audience.
All money collected from tonight’s concert will go towards the 20,000.00 Euros T.M. Lions are committed to raising to fund the cost of equipping a new Therapy Centre in Teulada which will be able to assist people in the Teulada-Moraira area living with one or more of a wide range of physical and mental disabilities.
PLEASE DO GIVE GENEROUSLY!
