H2O Exeter Celebrates 45 Years Of Serving The South West

One can be forgiven for thinking that a trading estate with Europe’s densest concentration of car showrooms might not be the most likely place to happen across a wet leisure dealer. But what if their neighbours offer the most prestige of marques? Imagine that within a few moments walking distance are located the showrooms of Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Land Rover, BMW and Mini. What if they were situated within a purpose built building with parking aplenty, indoor and outdoor display areas? Might this fantasy suddenly make a lot of sense? Well this is no fantasy showroom location, this is the site chosen at the turn of the century to be the home of H2O, a brand of Cannings and is one of the UK’s few genuinely purpose built, hot tub retail locations and twice winner of the Peter Geekie Award for Retail Excellence.

Penned by Director Bradley Cannings, the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) award winning building is topped off with a bold signature roof line that resembles a wave of water. From here the team focus on delivering the H2O ‘Experience’ to their

clients; on offer is an exhaustive list of facilities from wet test artesian hot tubs and swim spas to an endless pool, from a tiled steam room, to an experience shower and even heated loungers. To ensure it’s without equal, they ticked all of the wish list, all the little details such as a climate-controlled showroom with mood- lighting, private customer changing and shower facilities, and in doing so ensuring their clients the ‘Experience’ talked so much about. A flourishing pool and hot tub market has driven H2O to grow in every aspect since its humble beginnings back in 1969, even absorbing another pool company several years ago, giving them a further showroom in Taunton, Somerset.

They attribute their success to long-term vision and hard work with a refreshing and exceptional customer experience delivered by highly capable, well trained and motivated staff. Couple this with products consummate to their needs and it’s no wonder the clients and referrals keep coming, month after month, year after year. So after 45 years what’s next? More of the same it seems; they are polishing their finery, training up a raft of new staff and renovating their showrooms ready for the exciting season ahead!
