sectors arrived to hear the speakers, meet the exhibitors and network with colleagues, meeting new people in the course of the day. My greatest pleasure came in meeting the delegates and hearing where they work, how their business is doing in these tricky times and when they see things getting better. It was good to see so many young agents a the event. Andrew Neil, the brilliant publisher,
writer and broadcaster had skipped The Daily Politics programme to be our on-stage host for the whole day, bringing his professional presence and incisive interviewing skills to the conference. Andrew asked excellent leading questions and discussed the answers without fear or

hat a great day! After a night of stand building and preparation, the doors opened at 8.30am for the
favour, to the interest and delight of the delegates. Planning the programme, we had
decided to move away a little from solid half hour or longer presentations from a lectern towards panel sessions where those on stage could interact with delegates much more. Many of the questions and responses came from these younger members of our industry, which was marvellous, a real interest in the discussions and a confidence to contribute. It was clear that we had not only delegates who are already some of the country’s leading property success stories, but also a large number of future leaders in property. Our exhibitors were also very pleased to
meet the delegates in the breaks, where many lively discussions took place and business was done – which of course, was their objective of the day. PROPERTYdrum’s Grant Leonard
opened the event, followed by Nick Leeming, Business Development Director of the Conference sponsor, Zoopla.
