Saturday 13th December, an Advent Lunchtime Concert in the Cathedral. Feargus Hetherington, violin/viola, and Mira Opalinska, piano, off er a musical oasis of calm with a programme that includes Bach, MacMillan and McGibbon. Concert starts at 12.30pm. Admission at the door: Adult £5 Student £2 (Accompanied Children free) Tuesday 16th December, Dunblane Library Chatterbooks at 3.45pm


Thursday 18th December, Dunblane Library special Christmas storytime at 10.30am


Saturday 27th December, Victoria Hall’s Family Festive Ceilidh will be held in the Hall on at 7.30 p.m. Music will be provided by Jack Delaney’s Band and John Lord is running our Bar. All proceeds from the Bar go into Hall funds so please make good use of it. Tickets will be available from Smallprint, 3 Beech Road (telephone 824376) from Friday 14th November at a cost of £8 each.


• ADVANCE NOTICE, Forth Valley U3A ENROLMENT MEETINGS. Would you like to make some new friends and become involved in a new hobby or interest at the same time to brighten the winter days? That’s what U3A is all about! There are more than 50 groups which are very varied and include Current Aff airs, Mandarin, Mahjong, Bridge, Lunch club, Spanish, Line Dancing, Scrabble and Poetry. We are holding our enrolment meetings on Friday 9th January, 10 – 11.30am in the Parish Church Halls, Bridge of Allan and 2 – 3.30pm in the Mayfi eld Centre, St Ninian’s, Stirling. You are warmly invited to come along to either session and discover more about what we do whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coff ee and chatting with some of the members.
