Hello & welcome to the December edition of theWire!
When I wrote this it happened to be World Kindness Day, not hugely publicised for such a great concept. Most of us do acts of kindness day in, day out and lets face it, it’s the small things that matter. This morning on the radio though, as part of Chris Evan’s Children in Need auction they introduced the mystery supporter who has pledged to match the highest bidders for each auction, not to snatch the prize away, but to add to the fund. Now, admittedly not many of us are in the position to give away millions but he quoted the reason behind it as “a true act of kindness is to help someone you’ll never meet” wow... Christmas is the perfect time for acts of kindness, the opportunity for us to help those who fi nd the festive season harder for a variety of reasons, not just money but perhaps bereavement, or loneliness. We can help , small things add up and make a diff erence so whether you are able to donate to Start Up Stirling, prepare a shoe box for the Rotary appeal, donate items to the Charity Shop or just remember to make a bit of time for someone who would appreciate your company, let’s help everyone to enjoy the Festive season.
As Christmas approaches there’s still time to get those last minute DIY jobs done and changes made - we have lots of local trades who advertise with us, so give them a call and get some things off your to-do list!
Also we have a fantastic off er in the magazine for those who tried every diet/exercise regime & fad going and are ready to tackle their weight once and for all!

The New Year edition of theWire is a combined January/February issue. So allowing for Christmas closures etc, it will be delivered through your doors during the fi rst of January. It will go to print BEFORE Christmas so whilst I appreciate it is hard to focus on anything beyond that at the moment, please remember to send in your event details and news as soon as you can. The deadline for information for is the 11th December.
