About the Centre

Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre (NCS) is the academic A Level centre of a group of Newham Schools – Cumberland, Kingsford, Langdon, Lister, Little Ilford, Plashet, Rokeby, Royal Docks, Sarah Bonnell – and Stratford School Academy, working in partnership with Newham Council.

The centre will open in September 2014, offering a focused A Level curriculum, and the opportunity for academic students to study in a dedicated sixth form centre with a specialism in Science & Mathematics.

NCS will have a maximum of 500 students – 250 in each of the two year groups – and will provide a stimulating education in a nurturing environment in which students will be encouraged to stretch themselves to achieve their potential.

Students will study in high-quality, dedicated facilities, including nine new laboratories for the teaching of Chemistry, Physics, and Biology and a specialist Mathematics centre as well as a student and tutorial centre, with a newly equipped library and learning resource centre, a student social centre and café.
