Chobham Academy Sixth Form
Chobham Academy is a brand new academy at the heart of the East Village and will be the focal point of a new community in East London as the Olympic legacy extends into the future. It combines the traditional values of good manners, excellent behaviour and academic rigour with great teaching, the best of modern technology and an astonishing, 21st-century campus.
Chobham Academy Sixth Form Uniquely, our Sixth Form is divided into two very different, yet equally ambitious, pathways: Sixth Form Virtuoso and Sixth Form Academia.
Sixth Form Academia Sixth Form Academia features excellent academic tuition and university coaching, including Oxbridge mentoring with our links to a number of Oxford and Cambridge colleges. Chobham’s lecture theatres, demonstration laboratories and small group teaching rooms ensure that students on the Academia pathway have access to a wide range of teaching styles.
Sixth Form Virtuoso Sixth Form Virtuoso prepares students for careers in the performing and creative arts, and features links with a range of leading institutions including the Royal Shakespeare Company and The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Virtuous students make use of cutting-edge facilities in the academy’s Specialism Building, including a theatre and box office, dance studio, a Mac suite and recording studio.
Sixth-Form Facilities At Chobham Academy sixth-form students enjoy dedicated facilities, comprising an ICT room and study base, the academy café area and panoramic roof terrace.

“The teachers at Chobham teach in such a fun and engaging way. They know so much and use their knowledge to inspire use. They’re also really friendly and approachable. I’m never afraid to ask for help and they always let me come back after school for extra support. I also love the facilities at Chobham. They’re amazing. Most schools use the sports hall for dance but we’ve got a dance studio with a sprung floor. And we’ve got a recording studio!”
