Warrant Officer Al Sylvester’s Long Walk


T


he 900 miles will take Al over five weeks to complete. He will walk unsupported and carry all his kit (about


50lbs) on the 30 mile a day challenge. Al set himself the goal in aid of the Prospect Hospice in Swindon, in the memory of his good friend, Wiltshire Constabulary PC Dean Singleton who was a member of the Mountain Rescue Service. Dean spent his final weeks


being cared for by the attentive staff at the Prospect Hospice. Dean lost his battle with cancer at the age of 43.


Prospect House is in need of funds and WO Sylvester is intent on doing his bit to ensure future patients receive the first class care the wonderful staff at the Prospect Hospice provide.
