N
etwork marketing as an effective business system is becoming more and more popular in the UK.
It has been around for some time but is little understood. As we look for alternatives to the traditional way of working so it is increasing in popularity, especially amongst service wives who see it as a business fit for their circumstances.
We all know what it is like, we juggle, we multitask we have responsibilities, we have to cope, be efficient, be effective and be capable and we get on with it. We are parent, house-keeper, teacher, gardener, PA, tour guide, event planner, expert, handyman, chauffeur counsellor and that’s just the women! But no one pays us!
We can’t get into that traditional job, the one we have spent our whole lives preparing for, through, school, college, university. Why? Because life, family and circumstance interrupts us. And as a service spouse or partner we spend time as single parents too, we move around making having a worthwhile career devastatingly hard.
There are many ways of earning but in most we trade time for money. We work an hour and get paid an hour. Those at the top of the traditional corporate structure may time leverage from those below and we might successfully get to middle management or higher. But there is not much room at the top and you will have to be pretty determined to get there with lots of life falling by the wayside on the way up.
Network marketing is something most of us do anyway. We might recommend a book, a film a restaurant but that company, although it will rely on word of mouth and personnel recommendation, as part of its communications strategy, it will not pay us for our services.
So what of my business? Well I have a business in Health and Well-being. The products are pure, safe and beneficial and used by each of us every day. There are ranges in skincare, men’s, baby, sun care and nutrition. All the products are high end, (Vogue love them!) contain no additives, preservatives, mineral oil (which is second to the sun as the most damaging for our skin) and are not tested on animals.
Bypassing the traditional route used by retail, the products come straight from the manufacturer to the consumer by ordering online. There are no middle-men taking their

Your own business, which has the flexibility to move with you, is a worthwhile consideration but again, it is exchanging time for money and there are precious few hours in the day. Taking on others then makes it complicated.
Network marketing presents a simple business system that allows growth of our own business in our spare time and effectively uses time leveraging from those who work alongside us. But each has their own business too! It is a business where it is your own but you do not work alone. Your business is surrounded by a team of like-minded individuals who work with us to achieve the common goal, because there is room at the top for everyone. It also moves with us. There is absolutely no necessity to stay in one place.

I use the products, I recommend them and the business system. I find five like-minded individuals who like the system and the products, and they come on board as a business builder and also use the products. I then teach them how they too find their five business builders and it becomes a simple system of teaching and duplicating and the power of compounding moves to grow a huge network around you.
Personal growth is also a huge part of what we do. I have given up my own business in Podiatry to build my network marketing business part-time. My husband too has joined the business and with our two young children of 11 months and 3 years, life is much more our own and with unlimited income potential. In the words of Robert Kiyosaki Network Marketing is ‘The Business of the 21st Century’.
