PRODUCT NEWS New Hybrid Sauna Offers The Best Of Both Worlds
Dalesauna has launched a new sauna that combines infrared technology with a traditional sauna to offer the ultimate in wellness and relaxation.
Developed for both the residential and commercial markets, the new Combi Sauna gives users the choice of two different heat experiences. The infrared sauna uses infrared light to heat the body directly, while the Finnish sauna relies on a traditional heat source to warm the air in the sauna. Gaining in popularity, infrared saunas provide a gentle, more soothing heat experience than traditional saunas and are very energy efficient. It takes just minutes for an infrared sauna to reach optimum temperature, and because it only heats the body and not the air around it, infrared requires 32 per cent less energy than conventional heating methods.
Unlike ultraviolet light rays, infrared light is entirely safe. It also has a host of natural healing properties from improving circulation and lowering blood pressure to relieving aches and pains.
Manufactured in the UK, the Combi Sauna comes in a range of sizes, which can be tailored to maximise space. The unit is available in conventional sauna timbers such as pine, cedar and hemlock as well as the new RoHol veneered sauna board for a clean and contemporary look.
Form And Function Make Max 1 A Winner
When it comes to fantastic design, it’s hard to beat the clean, stylish lines of the MAX 1 pool cleaner from AstralPool and an independent group of experts agreed awarding the product an Excellence In Design (EID) Gold Award in the water treatment products category in 2013.
Beyond its mission to be pleasing to the eye though, the design details of the MAX 1 cleaner also have a functional significance.
Its top-access cassette filters with an easy-view transparent window that make it easy to check how dirty the filter is are its most outstanding features. What’s more, the large size of the filters mean they can gather more dirt

and do not have to be changed so often as a result.
The way MAX 1 has been designed has also had a positive impact on its weight. Weighing just 6.5 kg, it is one of the lightest electric pool cleaners in the market and, therefore, one of the easiest to handle. The cleaner likewise has an innovative transformer designed to make it totally intuitive to use. It includes two cleaning cycles that are selected depending on the size of a pool.

Showroom Finish UV rays without
With Protection Lo-Chlor Chemicals Limited introduced its new Spa-Shield® product at both industry shows earlier in the year.
One of its unique features is its ability to be applied successfully in both wet and dry conditions and still maintain its excellent surface adherence properties. Spa-Shield®
can
also be used to protect many other surfaces such as garden furniture, car interiors and exteriors, household work surfaces (including granite), stainless steel, glass, wood and even uPVC where it aids colour restoration – making it excellent value for money.
Paul Grunhut, Director, says: “Spa-Shield®
is our unique
formulation to seal, polish and protect acrylic, vinyl and rubber surfaces. Its unique properties protect surfaces against moisture, harsh chemicals and
affecting the colour of the surface. This enables a
showroom finish to the surface
leaving it smooth to the touch with a gloss look and pleasant pear aroma. Spa- Shield® can
be used on all areas of a spa
or hot tub and with
our product the retailer can offer extra peace of mind that their customers’ investment is being protected against the extreme weather conditions that the UK can throw at it.”

Dalesauna offers a range of lighting options for the Combi Sauna including a variety of LED and fibre optic solutions in addition to specialist light therapy units, some with the option of MP3 connection and built-in speakers.
“Our new Combi Sauna offers the best of both worlds. Infrared is ideal for the home because of its energy efficiency, and its almost instant effectiveness means you can enjoy a quick 20 minutes after a long day in the office or use it to ease aches
and pains after working in the garden. For commercial use, infrared offers specific physiological benefits for gym users before and after a workout. But if you just want to relax, there’s nothing quite like the warmth and calm of a traditional sauna,” says Gerard McCarthy, Sales Director at Dalesauna.
