PRODUCT NEWS Certikin Welcomes The Sunrise For 2014!

Certikin’s unique Sunrise automated reel system is now in stock and ready for summer installation.

Whether deck mounted or in-ground, the Sunrise provides an automated, enclosed reel system with a powered lid to reveal the cover when operation is required. The high qualit y bench housing system offers the cover and reel extra protection thus extending their lives. Designed for the tough Australian climate, the frame work and cladding of the Sunrise is highly durable, UV stable and resistant to fading. The lid of the Sunrise is powered by actuators at each end and is supported by a counterbalance stainless steel spring within each extension module to make the lid weight neutral when open and hence eliminate sagging. The deck mount system is housed in a high strength bench unit, covered in attractive, UV stabilised WPC cladding whilst the in-ground system is surrounded in a heavy duty aluminium composite panel ready to be back filled around, leaving the clad

and powered lid to raise from deck level and reveal the automated reel. Both systems are solar powered, but have a mains back- up and feature operation via control buttons upon the unit lid or one of the two remote control fobs provided. Designed as a modular system, the Sunrise is suitable for multiple pool widths up to 6.6m wide and can

accommodate covers, with a towing system, up to 12m long.

No hard wiring is required as the pre- mounted, heavily protected solar panel generates all the power required – and for those prolonged periods without sun a simple plug in low voltage mains charger is included. All connections are ‘plug and screw’ and couldn’t be simpler. Even the operation of the Sunrise is easy – buttons to

lift and close the lid and power the cover on and off the pool are on the unit lid, or full control is offered by one of the two remote control fobs provided with each system. All the user needs to do is guide the cover onto the pool and observe it when it is removed.

Currents Give Big Benefits To Small Pools

Clean Up With New Scum Boss

ScumBoss is an essential hot tub scum remover which thanks to unique microfibre technology and roller design, beats traditional foam based devices in their ability to collect the particles and body oils that taint even the most well kept hot tubs. Together, they act like a scum ‘magnet’, trapping hot tub debris, quickly and effectively.

“Unlike foam bugs and balls that collect scum via tiny pockets, ScumBoss traps scum on each and every microfibre,” describes ScumBoss spokesperson, Murray Feick. “These microfibres are extremely thin which results in a vast dirt collection surface.” Once the surface is sullied, a quick trip to the washing machine is all it needs. “You can use your ScumBoss again and again,” affirms Feick, who recommends yearly replacement for best results. ScumBoss is a patent pending product with users throughout North America. Visit the product website – www.scumboss. com – which has further information including pricing and ordering information for dealers and distributors.

Counter-current units are an important feature for customers who prioritise their health and fitness. Jamie Adams, Managing Director of Golden Coast, explains: “For swimmers, there’s nothing more frustrating than swimming in a multi-purpose public pool. Because of the limited space dedicated to swimmers, lanes are overcrowded – often running at a snail’s pace “Investing in a counter-current system means that you have a lane all to yourself – whenever you need it. These systems allow you to bring the workout of a competition pool to your home – at a fraction of the size.” Developed by world-class designers and featuring first-class stainless steel, the fashionable and award-winning BADU Jet Vogue brings the ‘wow’ factor to any pool. Available with a stainless steel handrail as an option, the Vogue lets swimmers burn calories by swimming against a persistent current or ease aches and pains after a long day with a pulsating or relaxing massage. For the ultimate in counter-currents, the BADU Jet Vogue Deluxe’s air regulator, control buttons and adjustable nozzle are made of stainless steel for a sleek and timeless look.

The powerful BADUJet Wave counter- swim unit offers brings together everything that’s needed for a ‘dream’ pool: underwater massage, gentle waves and endless no-lap swimming. Its intelligent air intake means that the water flow can be customised to the

owners’ need: from champagne tingles to bubble bath. Built-in LED lights – in clean white or multicolour – visibly transform the pool in the evening.

For customers looking for high-efficiency, submerged units, BADUJet offers the two- jet Primavera. It offers a volume stream (approx. 75m3

/hr) that can be regulated

and adjusted to suit personal needs. With stainless steel cover and handrails, its classic look ensures it can be integrated in any pool. The ergonomic handrails are included as standard – offering easy grip during massages and aqua aerobics. Supplied with bright-white LED as standard, multicolour lighting is available as an option.

The BADUJet Classic may have one nozzle, but it is a true competitor, thanks to its very powerful jet pump with a flow rate of approximately 54m3 and 58m3

/hr for single phase

/hr for three phase. From powerful massage to tingling bubble bath: anything is possible.

When retrofit is the only option, BADUJet offer three over-the-wall series: Perla (40m3 hr), Riva (54-58m3

/hr) and Stella (75m3 / /hr).

Streamlined and compact, this series offers adjustable flow rates, directional nozzles and power controls to regulate the bubbles. Built-in LED lights are available in either moonlight white or multicolour.
