other essential item for that pail. Last summer I decided it was


finally time to introduce my wife, Ann, to Lake Temagami. After all, I have been going there off and on for more than 40 years and she was getting a little tired of me talking about the place without having seen it herself. So, prior to my annual fishing


trip in June, I made arrangements with the folks at Loon Lodge for us to rent their cottage for the first two weeks in August. After my fishing trip, I


contemplated leaving the boat at Loon Lodge, but I decided that since my summer trip was still six weeks away, I would bring the boat home just in case I had time to venture out locally. In retrospect, I probably should have left the boat there, as it didn’t get any use. Around my place, it’s always


an adventure getting prepared to travel to some summer destination for a couple of weeks. There is an endless list of items to pack, groceries to purchase and chores
