Car Show Series (13 summer shows) in the Ottawa area. In addition to The Wicked Garage Car Show Series, there are cruise night/car shows just about every week night of the summer months, including Tuesday nights at the Hazeldean Mall and the TSC Mall in Rockland. Of course, Larry has his own stable
of cars: 1940 Chevy Coupe, 1953 Purple Hudson, 1960 VW Beetle, 1967 Chevelle, 1928 Ford Model A roadster, 1971 Maverick; and the current build, a 1929 Ford closed-cab pickup. With Larry’s guidance, I bought a
beautiful 1963 Black Buick Riviera from the Hazeldean Cruise Night. Not being particularly handy with engine or body work, I was concerned about qualified mechanics who can work on 47-year-old cars. I found there are several who do a great job. I use Dan McCurdy Automotive on Merivale Rd. I was enjoying this so much I bought
a 1969 Baby Blue Riviera from Macon, Georgia. When a chip, dent or (heaven forbid) rust spot appeared, it was off to Roberts Auto Body. They performed their customary magic, keeping my Rivs unbelievable. Life is good. I attended cruise night for years. I
watched hundreds of people looking over 300-to-400 old beauties, including
