Santa Rosa, CA. ~ When I was 5 years old, I was stand- ing in line for hot lunches at Oak Grove Elementary School in Sebastopol, California and kind of remember this tall friendly guy serving these pretty nice meals every day. Although I don't remember details from the time, I do remember Steve's big smile what a great guy he was. In fact many years later I ran into him while he was an employee for Stanroy's Music Center. Because I am a musi- cian and had chosen piano as my main instrument of choice, I would often come into the music center to dream and test out the latest electric pia- nos and grand pianos as well as upright pianos knowing one day I would get my own. What I remember the most was how Steve was always in a great mood, knowledgeable and helpful even in the midst of hectic, busy days the center had. In fact, I ended up buying a piano from them as well as a Peavey Amp and all kinds of
chords and percussion instru- ments since the age of 17. But I think I also rented instruments through my younger school days where I learned to play trumpet, alto saxophone and clarinet. I can remem- ber my mom bringing me by to buy reeds for the clari- net when I was in sixth grade attending

forward to 2013, and many more instruments later, I walk into the store to drop off Upbeat and here's Steve, as bright and friendly as ever saying hello to me and that he and Dustin Heald had just bought the store! I thought, if anyone should
