MOST WANTED
ENGINEERED SEATING Paradisi furniture is made from combining technology and materials normally the preserve of aerospace industry and Formula One. Each piece of bespoke furniture is created using carbon fibre and an aerospace or military-grade metal. Even the leather is exotic. In fact, the furniture has been described as precision art, but the team behind Paradisi is keen to stress that this is art to be used and enjoyed as well as admired and displayed. Every part of each piece has been painstakingly designed and engineered, whether visible or not, and then machined to perfection. Paradisi undertakes commissions to design unique furniture and products from single pieces to larger collections and is happy to work on both residential and commercial projects as well as collaborate with interior designers. For more information or to book a personal consultation with Paradisi, please contact Simon Firullo on 07598 921688, email

ALL TIED UP
Guards Polo Club members Archana and Nirmala Sicka are the founders and designers of SquareCircle Designs. The creators of luxury silk and cashmere scarves, this year they developed an exclusive range of scarves featuring the Guards Polo Club’s logo, which is only available to purchase at Guards Polo Club itself. Following on from the success of this range, the Sickas are already thinking about a new line for 2013. It will include more easy-to-wear fabrics such as silk/wool mixes and Modal – the popular eco-friendly bamboo fabric. The entire SquareCircle range, all of which is digitally printed on the highest quality silk or purest cashmere and then carefully finished by hand, is currently on display in the Dorchester Hotel, London. MOTORING ON PISTE?
Being a lightweight has become a term of endearment, at least in the world of slippery slopes where carmaker Audi has gone completely off piste. Petrol heads who find it hard to kiss their motors goodbye as they climb into the cable cars to take them high up in the mountains have been given a golden opportunity to take some motoring technology with them. Audi has moved into the manufacture of skis. These aluminium and titanium skis, sandwiched around a shapely wooden core, create an ultra- light sheath of carbon fibre-strength and rigidity. This ensures that Audi’s skis look as good as they perform on the slope, with their flexing and gripping being suitably seductive. Don’t miss it. For more information on these skis go to
www.audi.com.
