Multi-channel advanced sales, on-site ticketing and integrated customer management that drive revenues, productivity and delight your customers.

What’s the product? The OmniTicket Installment Billing software module allows venues to offer flexible pay- ment plans for customers buying annual passes, season passes and memberships. For example, a customer could purchase an annual pass for 12 monthly payments, which are then automatically charged to their credit card. Or a season pass – ideal for the summer season at a water- park – can be purchased through three automated credit card payments over a three-month period. This functionality sup- ports the creation of automated payment plan contracts, automated billing cycles, automated payment processing and the automated blocking of passes when scheduled payments are declined.

VENNERSYS

What’s new about it? The product offers unprecedented flexibil- ity in the creation of payment plan offers that adhere to the specific product being purchased. An unlimited number of plans can be created to support various market- ing initiatives and promotions. For example, one client used this for a

Christmas lay-away offer whereby a cus- tomer buying an annual theme park pass as a Christmas gift could make a deposit up front and then pay the balance at a later date before the end of the year.

DierenPark Zoo in the Netherlands has used products from Timberplay’s natural equipment range to create a really wild indoor play space. Inspired by the Weaver Bird’s nest and developed by Timberplay’s par- ent company, Richter Spielgeräte, it features climbing nets and water fea- tures, bridges and bespoke play huts. The overall aim of the develop- ment was to provide an opportunity for children to become little monkeys

Sutcliffe Play’s concrete transformation

n preparation for the arrival of the giant pandas later this year, and the upsurge in visitors they will bring, Edinburgh Zoo has redesigned its admissions area to provide the best ergonomic layout and installed a new ticketing system from Omniticket. This comprises seven ticket stations, including an ID scanner for season passes, three wireless access control hand scanners and a new laser counter unit for the exit to allow them to determine the entry and exit trends of visitors. Bar-coded tickets are being produced, which can be scanned to control admission. A standard system has been used, configured to suit the zoo’s requirements to improve ease of ticket purchasing and entry. Customer operations manager at Edinburgh Zoo,

Children’s entry and exit to and from Curve Motion is recorded and monitored

What’s the product? Expert Ticket is a fully integrated system, which allows operators to manage their attraction with access to any area being automatically controlled by them using the unique bar-coding system. The reduction in staffing levels reduces

costs and the unlimited number of tickets they can issue means they can create tick- ets for new events and exhibits in minutes. The system also allows them to manage all aspects of events and customer rela-

which provided the best fit for their requirements. This could cover all operational areas of their business from one single system, along with a wristband system for security. The system allows rapid entry at busy times, an online booking module, security enhancements and a comprehensive CRM solution, providing a detailed view of customers so they can market more pro-actively. Part of creating this safe environment has been the implementation of a security

procedure designed to ensure children’s entry and exit from the centre is recorded and monitored, to ensure the right child leaves with the right parent. Wristbands, with an identifying barcode unique to each family group, are issued. When the group leaves, all the wristbands are scanned. Vennerys worked closely with Curve Motion to understand the exact requirements for the wristband system, which wasn’t part of Venpos at the time, and carried out a short custom development to deliver it. Founder of Curve Motion, Fiona Bayliss, says: “We didn’t want the complications and administrative cost of running different systems in different parts of the business. Venpos allows us to manage the business from a single back office application.”

In a move designed to improve the overall visitor experience and increase footfall, Battersea Park Chil- dren’s Zoo in London has seen the installation of a new play area. In conjunction with the zoo’s owners – the Heap family – a large concrete space at the attraction has been transformed by outdoor play- ground equipment company Sutcliffe Play. A landscape has been created with the aim of encouraging children to play, discover and learn. More than 40 pieces of equipment have been installed, allowing children
