Jeanne Shanin

Reiki Courses and Healing Circle Offered in May

called Reiki, is offering a Reiki II Training and Immersion on Saturday and Sunday, May 12 and 13. The sessions take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in South Salem and are open to those who have completed Reiki I. Shanin uses Reiki as a personal tool for healing and spiritual growth, and as a way to transmit vital energy to fam- ily, friends, and pets. She also teaches it, and employs the modality with clients in integrative healing sessions. “People come to Reiki for many different reasons,” Shanin says. “It is excellent for resolving physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues of any kind and it gives wonderful results. Cli- ents find it deeply relaxing and effective for pain, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life-threatening illness. I also treat people pre- and post-surgery because it diminishes their fear and anxiety and significantly speeds healing.” On May 8 at 7:30 p.m. Shanin will lead the Second Tuesday Reiki Healing Circle at Golden Temple Yoga in Kato- nah. The evening offers participants an opportunity to relax deeply and receive healing. Everyone is welcome and no previous experience is necessary.
