Q-Ton, an air-to-water heat pump, cuts energy use and significantly reduces running costs and carbon emissions. Pasquillwill use Ecobuild to showcase its broad range of innovative timber solutions for roofs and floors. The company will exhibit as part of the Saint Gobain group. Visitors to the Saint Gobain stand (N310) will be able to see Pasquill’s engineered timber options, including roof trusses, panelised roof systems, Glued Laminated Timber (Glulam), I Joists and Posi-joists™. The latter will demonstrate just how easily services can be installed and accessed by means of their open web


configuration. A particularly noteworthy panelised roof system to be highlighted at the show will be the X-Rafter™ room in the roof solution. Capable of providing the superior thermal performance that will increasingly be required by ever more strin- gent legislative changes, the package also includes a cassette floor solution.

Ancon Building Products is joining other leading manufacturers of sustainable, energy-efficient con- struction solutions and showcasing its range at Ecobuild. Stand number N1110 will address the important issue of heat loss through thermal bridging. It will feature Ancon’s extensive range of low thermal conductivity cavity wall ties, which include the unique basalt-fibre TeploTie. Also on display will be a range of Thermal Breaks for use at other locations where the

Exciting and innovative new ways of reusing carpet materials and offcuts will be showcased by Carpet Recycling UKon Stand S20 at Ecobuild 2012. A full information-packed CRUK seminar programme on Thursday 22 March will highlight the latest cutting- edge progress on treating recovered carpet as a rich new resource for novel products and high-end applications. Three popular seminar sessions will focus on sustain- able practices supported by CRUK, the industry-


backed association for waste carpet reuse and recycling, in its third appearance at the ExCel show. Starting at 11am, the seminars will feature senior industry figures and leading flooring manufacturers sharing their knowledge on the latest research and development into advanced recycling and reprocessing techniques.

RAINWATER HARVESTING HITS THE HIGH STREET ecobuild stand N2565


Kingspan Water, one of the UK’s leading manufac- turers of rainwater harvesting systems, will be out in force at Ecobuild 2012 (Stand N2565 and within the Practical Installer section.), showcasing its broad portfolio of rainwater harvesting systems and once again highlighting the ease of their installation. Particular excitement is expected to be generated by the company’s new retro-fitted systems. The advent of above-ground tanks alleviates the need for


any groundworking. The potential is such, that the systems are attracting serious interest from water companies, schools, retailers etc. A working model of a Kingspan Water rainwater harvesting system will be on display in the Practical Installer demonstration area.
