Aurubis is launching its architectural copper division, to develop the ‘Nordic’ product range in the UK, at Ecobuild 2012. Aurubis Architectural combines ded- icated expertise in helping architects to realise their designs in copper with the added strengths of a major international group. Surfaces in the range include Nordic Green and Nordic Blue variable intensities of pre-patination, developed with properties and colours based on the same brochantite mineralogy found in

natural patinas all over the world. There are no limitations on the length of pre- patinated copper sheet or strip because whole coils are treated on the production line, enabling them to be used for long-strip installation techniques. t 01875 812 144 www.aurubis.co.uk/architectural

SMART AT ECOBUILD 2012 BRITISH CERAMIC TILE SHOWCASES ECO CREDENTIALS

British Ceramic Tile will be exhibiting at Ecobuild (Stand no S316) for the first time in 2012. Showcasing both their latest product ranges and their eco credentials, British Ceramic Tile are looking to increase awareness of the tile industry in Great Britain, which can offer less transport costs than sourcing from abroad, as well as highlighting how versatile ceramic tiles can be. Currently 80 per cent of the UK tile market is imported, which British Ceramic Tile are aiming to challenge with the introduction of new designs and tile sizes. British Ceramic Tile is committed to sustainability and reducing its impact on the environment. It sources 85 per cent of its raw materials locally to the manufacturing facility in Devon and recycles every- thing where possible back into the production process. Products on display at Ecobuild will include the recently launched Dorchester 30x60 and Brighton ranges, new floor tiles and a selection of ranges from the Laura Ashley and Studio Conran collections as well as several other existing and popular ranges. t 01626 834774 www.britishceramictile.com

Smart Architectural Aluminium has announced that they are to exhibit at this year’s Ecobuild exhibition, held at London ExCel from 20 - 22 March. Ecobuild has grown quickly over the last few years to become the world’s leading event dedicated to promoting all aspects of sustainable construction. This will be the first time that Smart has been involved with the show, so why choose this year to exhibit? Eddie Robinson, Smart’s MD explains: “Like Ecobuild, Smart has grown a great deal in the last two years. This event provides an ideal platform to talk to the industry about where we are now and where we are planning to be in the future. We have three strong messages that are very relevant to both sustainable building and the Ecobuild audience. First is our corporate commitment towards the envi- ronment and to work towards a 100 per cent carbon neutral production operation. Second, the energy efficiency savings our products offer through improved thermal performance, and lastly is the sustainable nature of aluminium as a construction material.” Smart will also be exhibiting a selection of their latest energy efficient profile systems. Among these will be Greenstar, an ultra low U value commercial window capable of achieving a U value of 1.0 W/m²K. To learn more about Smart Architectural Aluminium and their products you are welcome to visit Stand N210 in the North Hall at Ecobuild. t 019 348 76100 www.smartsystems.co.uk
