BBA Approved Hemcrete Paper Project has just completed a pioneering affordable housing scheme for the London Borough of Hillingdon. The houses were built with BBA approved Hemcrete, an innovative hemp and lime thermal walling system developed by Lime Technology. The system offers a carbon negative method of creating thermally efficient buildings through the use of hemp, which absorbs CO2 during its growth. The excellent insu- lation properties of this system will lead to significantly reduced energy bills for residents.

BBA Loft Inspection Scheme SIG Energy Management has won approval under the BBA's Inspection Scheme for the installers of loft insu- lation. This shows great commitment by SIG to prove their installation methods meet the highest standards. The scheme has been running for over 12 months. Installers have to demonstrate compliance through assessment by the BBA prior to being accepted into the scheme, which includes regular monitoring of both work-in-progress and completed installations by the BBA.
