doors, windows & conservatories supplement Oakbay windows helps to give Merseyside’s

Hudson Primary School a new lease of life When Hudson Primary School in Maghull on Merseyside was built in 1953, the 125 steel windows frames that were installed were state-of-the-art. Nearly 60 years on that was far from the case. As Sefton Local Authority realised, replacement windows could radically improve the learning environment as well as the energy efficiency of the school. The 125 windows were scheduled to be replaced with new, low maintenance windows that had reflective blue tinted glass to help to regulate temperature in the classrooms. Contractor James Price Group turned to Oakbay Windows: the company’s reputation for completing large public sector projects on time and on budget as well as the quality of its Deceuninck product range made it the obvious choice. The chosen window system was Deceuninck 2500 series, a timeless chamfered product that more than fulfilled the low maintenance requirement as well as bringing the benefits of thermal efficiency. The newly-installed windows have, as expected, trans- formed both the look and the feel of the school thanks to the improved energy efficiency of the new windows. Stuart Loughlin of Oakbay Windows said, “We are extremely proud of our work on this project. The 2500 series windows have given Hudson Primary School a new lease of life and contributed to making it a great place to learn both now and in the future.”
