TelGuard specialises in telephone- based door entry systems. The system is installer programmed remotely from a standard telephone, mobile or modem link, or locally via the keypad (where fitted) or USB connection. Each button is programmed to call a different telephone number relating to the destination (flat, office etc). When a visitor presses the required button, a telephone call is made from the entrance panel to the destination telephone number. The system is vandal resistant and designed for use in a host of environ- ments including flats, housing devel- opments, business parks, schools, universities, offices & leisure centres to name but a few.
enq. 320 DAAB opens doors at Edinburgh Trams depot
DAAB MK drive unit operators have been used to automate a set of ten side-hung, bi-folding doors at the new Edinburgh Trams maintenance depot. The automated doors will provide access to trams entering the depot for cleaning and main- tenance. DAAB is part of the FAAC group and its operators were specified by Jewers Doors who were contracted to supply and install the tram depot doors, measuring 4m wide by 7.2m high. Ideally suited to large industrial applications, all DAAB operators come with a five year warranty and can be used to automate gates, doors and barriers. Director of the Phoenix Division of Jewers Doors, Mark Jewers said: “With a large scale project such as Edinburgh Trams it was vital that we used a highly reliable and safe door automation system. DAAB operators are extremely durable and can be opened manually in just two seconds in the event of power failure or fire.” To maximise safety, FAAC infrared safety beams were fitted to all doors which trigger the door to stop and reverse if an obstacle breaks the beam. Full height safety edges were directly wired into the DAAB EP103 control board, preventing the door from closing on a person or a vehicle if the safety edge is depressed. Taking up minimal space when open and with opening speeds from only seven seconds, Jewers Doors bi-folding doors are ideal for industrial applications, such as emergency service appliance bays, vehicle workshops and goods-in bays. t 01256 318100
