Pillar Talk

As a thank-you and acknowledgement to our tenants Farrans covered the costs of providing a buffet lunch at Glenesk House and all three complexes were invited.

Regional Community Manager for the area, Bill Elliot said: “This was an extremely well run event which has helped to ease the potential fears of a very vulnerable group of customers. The project team has gone above and beyond their duty to ensure that local residents were informed in a clear and timely manner and that the reputation of all the project partners was maintained.”

The aim of the project is to link Edinburgh to Tweedbank in the Scottish Borders. The line is 35 miles long and will provide a passenger link to the Borders.

Enabling works by Scottish Water, Scottish Power, Scottish Gas Network, BT & Farrans (Site Managers) was required to make way for the railway line which would affect our complexes at Midlothian, Glenesk, Railway Cottages & Garvald Glenesk.
