Simple Symington


Symington A and Symington B Sewage Treatment Works have been identified by SEPA as part of the SR10 backlog quality programme. Investment is needed to ensure that they can comply with the current discharge standard. The scope of our project is to replace 500m of inlet sewer to help alleviate local flooding. We will also be installing new septic tanks, combined sewer overflows, a new storm overflow to the River Clyde and associated civil structures, totalling £1.6m in value.


Morrison Construction recently received a letter of recognition for ongoing works by the local community. A member of the public wrote "I speak for all the surrounding neighbours, in saying that these men without exception are a credit to your firm."


The letter goes on to say: "They arrive punctually, work hard, and are accommodating, polite and helpful. In short they do not reflect any negative qualities, something to be very proud of in this day and age." Well done to all the team working on this project.
