Pillar Talk readers can be forgiven for thinking they are watching another exciting episode of Highland Rescue.
A helicopter came to the rescue of the project team working on the improvement package at the Lochcarron Water Treatment Works.
Rather than transporting pipes in over a difficult to navigate, remote terrain with no road access, the decision was made to take to the skies and employ a chopper to drop the intake pipes into position.
This innovative thinking not only reduced the activity from several days to a few hours it also helped to reduce environmental impact on one of the most stunning areas of Scottish countryside.
