Lucky number 7 for IGEM winners Pillar Talk

With the Christmas break, there was only one AM IGEM awardee for January but, since it was a team, seven certificates were awarded.

This cross-Business Unit team comprised of Colin Barron, Kwai Tse, Robert McClelland & Scott Robertson (all AIM); Chris Wilson (Asset Strategy); and Graeme Mathie & Mark Brown (CID) – they also shared the cash prize. Every regulatory investment plan has to be costed and, to do this, cost models are produced that require cost data from projects that have been delivered. For SR15 there was little new data for these cost models so, the

team was brought together to facilitate the cleansing of data for the forthcoming cost data freeze.

They regularly worked additional hours (often logging into the systems from home out with the normal working day) to ensure that their goal of maximising the total number of projects cleansed was achieved in as short a period as possible. This resulted in data from 77 infrastructure projects being made available for cost modelling to support the SR15 investment plan costing.

Congratulations to the team on their award (and prize)!
