Tickhill Riding Club is an affiliated British Riding Club and is in Area 16, based in North Nottinghamshire but is close to the borders of both Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.
We hold Club Shows for members only and various Open Shows and events throughout the summer and winter seasons.
With our Open Dressage competitions becoming more and more popular we decided this year to run Dressage Leagues. These incorporated 4 competitions throughout the season, 2 indoor and 2 outdoor, with competitors scoring points based on their percentage scores. These points were then accumulated with the winners being decided at the final competition on 13th November at Northern Racing College.
A fantastic number of entries (almost 100) were received for this final competition and the classes were extremely competitive. Due to the high number of entries we decided to run separate Junior and Senior classes – it’s great to see the young riders enjoying their dressage.

There were some fantastic scores, especially from some of the Juniors who would have been placed in the Senior classes! Well done to all the class winners and to the League Champions: Intro League – Sarah Lee and Sidney, Prelim League – Joanne Wilson and Leo, and Novice/ Elementary league – Stephanie Rapson and Folly’s Dance. The Junior Champions were: Intro League - Hannah Comery and Gallois Champagne Charlie, Prelim League – Lauren Hand and Dillan’s Destiny and Novice/ Elementary League – Anna Griffin and Galaxy.
There were some lovely new perpetual trophies for the League Winners, keepsake plates to 3rd and beautiful rosettes to 6th in each League as well as champion rosettes for the Junior Champions.
The committee would like to thank all the judges, writers, helpers and of course competitors for making the Dressage Competitions/Leagues so successful this year and we look forward to seeing everyone in February for the start of the 2012 Dressage Leagues.
