Your guess is as good as mine, but what I do know is that every single one of our magnificent board-treaders will be giving their all for both their audiences and deserving local charities as they have been doing year after year for ages. And although maybe grinning through gritted teeth, the public will still be digging deep into their pockets to support amdram and the deserving local charities. A Happy New Year to one and all.

Calpe Gilbert and Sullivan Society: The Society have started rehearsals for the Mikado scheduled for the end of May. Newcomers are always welcome, why not pop along and have a drink whilst listening to them rehearse and see whether you would like to join them. They desperately need more tenors and altos. Campoverde Theatre Group: Hip Hip Hooray! The group have at long last got a venue for their next production, Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea. The venue will be the Casa de Cultura, San Miguel on 8th, 9th and
10th March with tickets on sale early February. Everyone is jubilant after some months of hunting for a venue. They rehearse every Monday and Thursday at the Rendevous, La Zenia from 2pm-4pm and new members are always welcome. For further information contact Colin: 96 677 4127.
13th December, in aid of Stroke Support. The choir sang various Christmas Carols and also a medley of Spanish Carols with a group of Ukrainian Children. Careline Theatre: Jack and the Beanstalk will be performed at the Alcalali theatre from 11th to 15th of this month with 15.00 matinees on Saturday and Sunday. Curtain- up for the evening performances at 20.00. Marian Carter’s production combines the tremendous fun of traditional pantomime with the razzle-dazzle of musical to make a show they say, you would be crackers to miss. Footlights Theatre Group: Following their widely acclaimed and successful production Fiddler on the Roof, this Calpe based Theatre Group announced they are to stage the Broadway musical Guys and Dolls on the Costa Blanca in November 2012.
