Not Just For The Girls!
The students at The Beauty Institute are a wonderful mix. You have students living here in Spain, those travelling from other countries, some are straight from school, and others are looking for a new career, a new beginning. Ages are varied bringing new ideas from the young and wealth of life experience from the older students, but the main aim is the same, to qualify from a school that is recognised globally, really opening the door to opportunities. The beauty industry is not just a woman’s world and
the Institute has male students taking the courses as well as female.
The Beauty Institute is an accredited school, registered with The International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC), which has colleges throughout the world and whose qualifications are recognised worldwide. A representative of the largest employer of Beauty Therapists on cruise ships visits the Institute each October to offer employment to any students who meet their criteria.
The important thing before enrolling on any course, be it for a day or a year, is to make a visit. This way you can really get a feel of the college. The Beauty Institute in Orba is set up not only as a college but as a Spa also, so students really build their confidence of working within a salon, and get to work on ‘real’ people. With a separate area for the written work and dedicated practical areas, you can concentrate on focusing on each area without interruption.
The Beauty Institute also covers health and safety and more importantly they teach business studies for those students wishing to set up their own business. They give thought to everything. They want you to succeed.
Credibility comes from the examiners who are flown in from the UK to assess practical and theory work, and they judge purely on your efforts. If you do not work you do not pass, their reputation is based on the students they pass, this is the reason that your certificate becomes so valuable. Those in the know are aware how hard you will have worked to receive it and know the quality of the training.
So the first step. Take a look at the web site, make a phone call and arrange a visit if you can. Talk to Denise Sanderson, the owner, and have a conversation about what you are looking to achieve and then you can look at suitable courses. Very attractive payment plans are offered and post graduation employment advice is available.
Next ITEC courses start in January 2012, so you can enrol now, or find out about future dates.
