in researching and developing its 2012 lines, and predicts that li- censes (especially NFL licenses) will continue to produce high con- sumer sales. St. Louis Wholesale will also continue to carry a large

As any good business- man would do, however, Pinkerton also provides some cautionary ad- vice, saying, “When investing in trendy merchandise, be careful how much you buy. Just as we work hard to avoid, retailers shouldn’t let their inventory grow stale, or else they’ll be faced with markdowns.” Conklin Fashions, a veteran in
