“Every year a lady called Sally Bee raises money for various charities and this year Jo’s Trust is one of them. I’m not really a singer but I went along to record the song at Angel Studios in London with the other women and it was fun and sounds great.

“My family really supported me through the illness and my son is really proud of what I’m doing. He downloaded the song on his iPod and was dancing round the room to it!

“I would really encourage women to have regular smears. I have survived cancer for ten years but if it wasn’t for the smear I wouldn’t have known I even had the disease.

“I hope people will go out and buy the song and remember that you can survive cancer.”

Single is available on iTunes NOW! 99p http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/i-am-a-woman-feat- the-survivor/id453491858
